Teatro Luigi Pirandello is the municipal theatre of Agrigento, inaugurated in 1870 to a design by Giovan Battista Filippo Basile. The richly decorated horseshoe auditorium seats about 700 across stalls, boxes and gallery. Its neoclassical facade and frescoed interiors make it a prestigious setting for concerts, award ceremonies and cultural events.
